7 Days to Escape alpha 1


Over the past few months I've been working on 7 Days to Escape, I've managed to get quite a lot done and get the game into an alpha state. Lets take a look at what's been added:

  • SKILLS

Skill are really the thing that 7 Days to Escape revolves around. You gather enough money to gain skill points to make more money to get more skill points.

There's two different types of skills:

  1. Core skills
  2. Use skills

Core skills are the main skills that you should really be focusing on.

Use skills are skills that are nice to have but, won't help you as much as the core skills.

You can level up your skills at skill shops. But not all shops sell the same skills, so you might have to venture out to find a certain skill.

Sometimes you might need to be a certain level in a skill to pick up an item.


  • CHARACTER CREATION

Character creation is simple as it stands. You can create a name and chose some starting numbers for your core skills but, that's about it for the moment.

  • TRADERS


You can find wandering traders now in 7 Days to Escape. Sometimes you might find a child variant of a trader, though it's a purely visual change and does not have any effect on the gameplay.

You can go up to a trader and, by pressing E, take one bar off your thirst meter for 3 bags of money.

  • THE WORLD NOW ADAPTS TO THE PLAYER

The world now adapts to the player in many ways.

For example: if you loot a bunch of food from buildings, the prices for food will go up because that was the shopkeepers stock. It also goes up over time by itself.

Or if you murder a bunch of people or do drugs, you can get a bad reputation and people will treat you differently.


  • LOADING SCREEN TIPS

It's a small but pleasant change. Tips are now displayed on loading screens.
